“悬丝诊脉”历史上确有记载。唐朝贞观年间,长孙皇后怀孕十个多月未能分娩,御医们束手无策,大臣徐茂公推荐民间名医孙思邈为皇后治病。因皇后是尊贵之身,不能容别的男子碰触,孙思邈从怀中取出红线,让侍女缠在皇后手腕上;通过“悬丝诊脉”,孙思邈判断出皇后胎位不正,开了一剂活血理气药,再用针刺其中指尖,很快皇后便顺利分娩。
